My Journey

Through Alexandra's firsthand experience with the dark depths of mental health issues, she dreams of being able to share some relief with those who need it, as she wishes someone had done for her. Alexandra focuses on compositions that help people remember nature's remedy for a stressed mind. At the same time, she hopes that her art immerses people in the same journey as she has, the trip to face the anxiety of growing up as a frail child and for those living in monotonous urban lives alike, for the lifelong battle of a healthy state of mind.

The artist's process is based on unplanned hand movements drawings while applying different pressures to the hand to create various shapes and forms. At the same time, she combines the moves of multiple tools, such as brushes, sharp items, and relief tools, to create her artwork. Inspired by nature and memories, she uses colours to express her mental state. Alexandra's compositions were created through printmaking and drawing, whereas in printmaking, she used techniques such as screen printing, monoprint, digital printing and drawing. Alexandra also incorporates photographs she captured from nature and creates collages through printmaking. This current process she is working with shows two stages of her life: being surrounded by an alluring ambience and the moment of anxiety about wanting to be in control.

The artist recently moved to Trondheim, Norway, and is enthusiastic about exploring new ideas and discovering the rich culture of a Nordic country.
